The Splinter Group side quest chain can be completed in multiple ways, but you can only do them in order and must complete this chain to get the “Overwhelming Presence” trophy. The first time you complete this side quest, you will be rewarded with a unique shotgun called “Splinter Group”. This weapon is a legendary shotgun and has one of the highest base damage values on the game (250) and is very strong for it’s class. There are three ways to complete the Splinter Group side quest chain.
The Borderlands 2 Guide: Side Quest-Splinter Group – Non-Fiction Gaming guides you through a number of the side quests that are available in Borderlands 2, providing details about the quests and how to complete them. The side quests in Borderlands 2 are one of the reasons why a lot of people play the game. However, the side quests are also one of the reasons why a lot of people have trouble with the game. This guide aims to explain the most important parts of the side quest system, and to tell you how to effectively complete them.
There is only one thing I love more than playing Borderlands 2: the weapons. Like, I don’t know, riding a horse. The fact that I can use all of the awesome weapons found throughout the game in a non-competitive context is just the cherry on top. If you’re looking to test out a few of the best weapons in Borderlands 2, this guide will guide you through all of the side quests that have to do with the Splinter Group. I’m going to include the number of the side quest in the title, so if you find a level higher than the one listed here, then you’re doing something wrong.
Tannis has enlisted your help to deal with some terrible, mutant Hyperion experiments that have made their way out of the Hyperion reserve. These mutant bandits are fast to go to the sewers, and there’s only one location they might be: the Bloodshot Stronghold. But, before you leave, you’ll need to use some pizza to entice them out of hiding. Yes, as odd as it may seem, these animals appear to be fascinated with pizza, and you can order one from Moxxi’s tavern.

After you’ve picked up the pizza, make a quick trip to the Bloodshot Stronghold. Continue on the same route you traveled to rescue Roland. In terms of the opponents who occupy the area, the rules should be the same. For the most part, you’ll be dealing with bruisers and marauders. With the bunker on your left and the generators to your right, fight your way into the third chamber on the map. After you’ve taken out the evil men in this chamber, make your way down the side with the generators. You’ll fall into a pool of water and discover a tunnel leading east. This tube will take you straight to their lair. Prepare to encounter the lab rats for the first time by climbing the ladder on the opposite side of the tunnel.

These scary critters come in a range of shapes and sizes. The namesake form of the adversaries are lumbering monsters with enormous limbs, while field rats are your normal ordinary lab rats. These two variants have a grenade and weapon arsenal to employ against you, however the lab rats often try to come up to you and conduct melee assaults, making them easy targets. Others may crawl over the ground towards you and use melee to narrow the gap, but they’re so weak that a shotgun blast will take care of them.

Fight your way through their hideaway until you reach a ground-level doorbell with a circular door panel. When you press the buzzer, the four lab rats will think you’re the pizza delivery guy. Well, you are, although with a plethora of firearms and the purpose of murdering the freaks. Step down when the door opens and put the pizza on the table. Each of the four members of the Splinter Group will emerge from the woodworks one at a time. They’re not especially tough, but after they’ve absorbed enough damage, they’ll vanish. They will attack in force after you have done enough damage to each of them, but given their debilitated condition, they are quite simple to destroy.
Return to Tannis after they’re all dead to get your prize.
REWARD:
