Far Cry 5 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide on March 27, 2018 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Far Cry 5 is a game where players explore an open world, and must survive against enemies. The far cry 5 system requirements ubisoft will give players the best chance of playing the game on their computer.
Finally, the much-anticipated open world game that you’ve all been waiting for wants you to know what it takes to run it on your PC. Ubisoft has released the system requirements for playing the game. While Steam hasn’t changed the game page, and I’m not sure when it will be.
According to the minimal requirements, you’ll need a decent mid-range graphics card and at least a quad-core CPU such an i5 or FX series processor. As a result, it will operate smoothly on PCs with Ryzen 3 CPUs as well as the newest Core i3 8100.
CONFIGURATION REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM
Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 (64-bit versions only) PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or similar PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or equivalent NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 or AMD R9 270 VIDEO CARD (2GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) 8 GB RAM for the system Resolution: 720p Low video preset
The graphics card requirement is GTX 670 or R9 270, which are obsolete graphics cards, however it is estimated that it will operate correctly with an equivalent of GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570. I believe it’s fairly good and not too expensive since the game’s graphics have never been better. However, it astounds me that the game can be played at 720p low settings on a PC with these components. I don’t believe a game can be that demanding that it can simply destroy a GTX 1050 Ti with an i5. We’ll have to wait and see when the game comes out on March 27.
CONFIGURATION RECOMMENDED (60 FPS)
Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 (64-bit versions only) Intel Core i7-4770 At 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz or similar PROCESSOR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X VIDEO CARD (4GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) 8 GB RAM for the system Resolution: 1080p High Video Preset
Recommended settings call for a mid-high-end graphics card, such as the GTX 970 or R9 290X, which are comparable to the RX 570, along with a good quad-core CPU, such as the i7 4770 or Ryzen 5 1600. For a game like this, Ryzen 5 series CPUs are currently the greatest bang for the money and should be utilized.
CONFIGURATION FOR 4K AT 30 FPS
Windows 10 is the operating system (64-bit version only) Intel Core i7-6700 At 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @ 3.6 GHz or similar PROCESSOR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56 VIDEO CARD (8GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) 16 GB of system RAM Resolution: 2160p High Video Preset
CONFIGURATION FOR 4K 60 FPS
Windows 10 is the operating system (64-bit version only) Intel Core i7-6700K At 4.0 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4 GHz or similar PROCESSOR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI or AMD RX Vega 56 CFX VIDEO CARD (8GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) 16 GB of system RAM Resolution: 2160p High/Ultra Video Preset
You’ll need a GTX 1080 SLI or AMD RX Vega 560 CrossfireX to play the game at 4K 60fps. The quad-core i7 6700K or the Ryzen 7 1700X, which is an Octa-Core processor, are suggested CPUs. So, if you want to play the game at 4K, you’ll need a strong GPU, otherwise you can forget about it. But, more importantly, how can you afford a GTX 1080 or 1080 Ti at a time when everything is exorbitantly priced?
