Intel’s new graphics chip is capable of producing 8.5 Teraflops of power, which is more than enough to drive the latest games at 1080p resolution on high settings.
The intel dg1 specs is a powerful gaming laptop that can run games at 1080p. It has an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD.
Last month, BestBuy offered a pre-built CyberPowerPC gaming PC featuring the DG1 Iris Xe, one of Intel’s most touted entry-level GPUs. Of course, since there is no GPU to purchase, the pre-built PC was soon sold out, and who wouldn’t want to acquire a gaming PC for $750 with an i5 11400F and other good specs?
Well, one Youtuber named ETA Prime had the opportunity to get it for the MSRP, and he demonstrated how the new graphics card looked. To expand the pictures, just click on them.
As you can see, this version is manufactured by Asus and employs a passive cooling system with no fans. This is due to the fact that it is not a high-end gaming graphics card, but rather one designed to provide entry-level performance at 1080p or lower resolutions. It was previously assumed that the GPU would perform similarly to the RX 550, but according to ETA Prime’s benchmarking, it will undoubtedly be one of the most popular entry-level graphics cards on the market if there is no scarcity.
The card is about a palm-length long and has a single slot design. It will get adequate power from the PCI-E slot without the need for an additional power connection. It has 4GB of 2133MHz LPDDR4 memory, 128-bit Bus Width, 68.3GB/s memory bandwidth, and a GPU frequency of 1500MHz.
In most low-medium visually demanding games running on low to medium settings at 1080p resolution, the card can deliver 60+ framerates, according to benchmarks. Even on high settings, esports games accomplished considerably more. Let me describe what ETA Prime got on average in each game:-
- 1080p Low-62 fps Forza Horizon
- Injustice 2 is a 1080p Low-60 fps action film (Consistent)
- 1080p Medium- 83 fps Overwatch
- 151 frames per second in 1080p performance mode in Fortnite.
- Genshin Impact- 1080p Medium- 60 fps Genshin Impact- 1080p High- 60 fps Genshin Impact- 1080 (Consistent)
- 1080p High-87 fps Rocket League
- 1080p Normal- 86 fps GTA V
- CyberPunk 2077- 720p Low- 29 frames per second
- RDR2- 900p Low- 38 frames per second
While ETA Prime was not pleased, the Intel DG1 Iris XE GPU is comparable to AMD Ryzen 7 5700G’s Vega 8 GPU in terms of graphics performance. While the Ryzen 5700G is an APU that can be overclocked even higher, it is not yet available for purchase.
The aim is that Intel’s DG1 and DG2 graphics cards will be released shortly to meet the needs of gamers that Nvidia and AMD are unable to meet. Because the gaming community includes a large number of entry-level gamers who cannot purchase a mid-range or high-end graphics card, Intel’s DG1 Iris XE will be adequate for the majority of them, as there is presently no buyable CPU with integrated graphics that can compete with it.
Again, kudos to ETA for being one of the first to publish the real-world benchmark results for this new GPU. The whole video may be seen here.
The intel® iris xe graphics by asus is a graphics card that performs quite well at 1080p. It also has the ability to use the Intel® Iris™ Plus Graphics 640 with an Intel® Core™ i7 processor, which is one of the best processors on the market.
