You know, we always had this thing where we tell you what panels are going to be at PAX Australia, and the only people who seemed to read that were the few people who were looking for the panel schedule. So this year, we decided to do it differently. Instead of telling you what panels are happening, we’re going to teach you what to look out for. Here’s a simple guide to the panels at PAX Australia 2014.
PAX Australia is an event that is held every two years, with the next one being in Melbourne and Sydney from September Australia, and all the way over to Seattle. It is a convention full of games, the latest hardware, and some of the best personalities in the gaming community. The event is generally split up into two areas: an expo, for gamers to go and purchase new games for their consoles, and a convention, where the panels go on, and the people who are on the panels talk about all sorts of things. In this way, PAX is a great way to learn about games, and people in the industry.
PAX Australia 2014. It’s happening this weekend, October 29-31 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. I’m going, of course I am. I could never miss one of these things. But where can I keep myself occupied while I’m waiting in line for the show floor, and what should I see? Let’s take a look at the schedule for the expo.
We’ve already seen a few of the panels that will be available at PAX this year. I understand that information on a few meager panels aren’t going to enough for you.
More announcements on the various kinds of panels will begin to appear in the weeks leading up to the end of October.
The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center (MCEC) is a large venue, and PAX Australia will use six of its auditoriums. Over the duration of the event, there will be an estimated 100(ish) panels and 150 exhibitors, based on what has already been publicized.
The enthusiasm levels may become overwhelming as the calendar begins to fill up. Check out our PAX Australia survival guide for ideas on how to deal with this sensation (Pirate Ships are involved).
The following is a schedule of the PAX Panels that have been announced. More updates will be rolling in over the next 5 weeks, so stay tuned to Non-Fiction Gaming on Facebook and Twitter.

Firstly, I want to thank all of you who came out to the panel I was on at PAX Australia: The media panel, which was packed to the brim with people wanting to hear our answers to some amazing questions. I was having so much fun I forgot to mention that the panel took place during the day, rather than at night like most of the other panels at PAX. Also, I had meant to send out a press release on our panel, but somehow that got lost in the shuffle. You can grab the full list of panelists, as well as all the other panels from PAX Australia here .. Read more about pax east 2021 schedule and let us know what you think.
