The comedy team mini-game was a nice new feature in Yakuza 5, but they are also a perfect way to introduce new players to the game. This guide is meant to take you by the hand and show you the ropes of this new possible way to mix up the game.
Yakuza 5 is the latest installment of the Yakuza series, which was released on January 24th, 2015 in Japan, March 11th, 2015 in North America and in 2016 in Europe. The latest game stars a new protagonist, a Tokyo-based male aspiring comedian named Haruka, who finds himself embroiled in a conflict with the Japanese underworld. The gameplay in this particular game is unique in that it features a minigame called the “Comedy Team” which consists of 5 characters which the player must use in order to progress through the game.
You must participate in a comedy substory featuring Haruka, Haruo, and an audience of people in order to complete every side quest in (Y5) Yakuza 5 and get the Substories trophy accomplishment. This substory or side quest is called as Aspiring Comedians.
The problem with this particular subplot is that the characters speak Japanese, and unless you knew Japanese, you probably wouldn’t be reading this right now. I’m going to presume that the most, if not all, of the people reading this know very little or nothing about Japanese, which is a problem in this case.
As the characters on stage begin to speak you will have a very short window in which you will need to press the correct buttons, the correct order and buttons to press is the following; Round 1: Square Circle Triangle Cricle Square Triangle Triangle Square Cricle Triangle Square Cricle Triangle Square Triangle Triangle
Square Circle (Round 2) Triangle Triangle Square Cricle Square Square Square Triangle Circle Circle Square Circle Triangle Circle Square Triangle
