In BG2 EE, you will find a system of keys throughout the land that will unlock special loot chests, which in turn will have special keys inside. This guide will detail the process you will have to follow in order to get all the keys necessary for the “Wand Collector” achievement.
Ever since I got a hold of the Enhanced Edition of BG2 I’ve been busy collecting the many beautiful and useful items I could find with the Wand Key. These items can be quite useful throughout the game, and I’ll be explaining where and when to use them.
This is a guide to the Wand Collector puzzle located in the Waukeen’s Promenade in Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition. You need to solve this puzzle to progress in the game, as it is not a secret.
The Wand Collector is a trophy you can unlock in the game (BG2) Baldur’s Gate II – Enhanced Edition.
You need to collect the 6 magic wand keys, which is necessary to solve a puzzle with bars that can kill your group.
- CHAPTER : CHAPTER 1 – The Irenic Tower
- A WALK THROUGH THE CITY:
- This riddle can be found in Chapter 1 – Irenicus Kerker. To do this, you must find the six magic wand keys scattered throughout the chapter.
#1 – FROST KEY WALL
You find the first key by killing and defeating a large flying monster named Otjug, which you will inevitably encounter.
#NR. 2 – LIGHTNING ROD
You’ll find the next one in the main room, it’s in a locked drawer.
GATE KEY –
It’s not really necessary for the puzzle itself. But he has to get through the big gate into the main room.
Simply attach the drawer to the bottom of the bed.
#3, #4, #5 – FIRE STAFF / CLOUD-CUTTING STAFF / SUMMONING STAFF
You will now find three keys shortly after entering the large gate.
The key to the fire stick is on the door to the north. The key to the Cloudkill wand is in the chest to the left of the door. Finally, the wand of the Summoning Key is on the table.
#6 – ROCKET KEY MAGIC WAND
From the last set of keys, go forward and enter the door to the left. Here you’ll find an assassin attacking an escaped clone. Take care of both, you’ll have to fight them anyway.
The fleeing clone is the one who has the last key.
- With the six magic wand keys in hand, we can safely complete the puzzle. Leave this room and this time use the door on the right side.
- Keep following the path until you reach our puzzle room.
- Ignore the enemies in the middle of the room, because if you try to stand next to them, you can be electrocuted by the pillars of the room. So let the pillars take care of it.
- As for you, you need to look at the six columns here and deactivate them by double-clicking. The keys in your inventory will turn into real wands now. That’s what the six buttons are for.
- After you’ve cleared the 6 pillars, you can go deeper into the room. You will find a large chair or a statue. If you research it, you’ll get the Wand Collector trophy and the protective ring.
