DreamLeague Season 22: the latest news from the DOTA 2 world
2024 the ESL operator will host six major international DOTA 2 tournaments. The first one, DreamLeague Season 22, will begin in February and be held entirely online.
The previous DreamLeague Season was held in September 2023. The best teams from North America, South America, Europe, CIS, and Southeast Asia participated as usual. Twelve teams competed for a total prize fund of $1,000,000, and the TSpirit team from Serbia won. Shopify Rebellion and BetBoom also occupied leading positions.

Team Liquid
The first Dota 2 Team Liquid lineup appeared at the end of 2012. The team became one of the strongest in the USA and won several competitions, ending at 7-8 places at The International 2013. During this event, the team knocked out the favorites.

During the first half of 2023, the team won three major tournaments, including the Lima Major, Berlin Major, and Bali Major. On July 29, they took 4th place at the Riyadh Masters 2023; in October, the team took second place at The International 2023.
They are undoubtedly considered leaders and will participate in all major DOTA 2 events in 2024.
Azure Ray
Another young team is Azure Ray, which Yang Yiqing founded last year. Somnus, chalice, and Fy agreed to play without salary, and now they are the team’s core members. The same decision was later made by Xm, who also joined the team for free.
The team took 4th place in The International 2023, and fans are hoping for more success in the upcoming year.
More tournaments for DOTA 2 in 2024
ESL One Birmingham 2024 will take place in England in April. Sixteen cyber teams from different countries will take part in this competition. The prize fund for it is established as $1,000,000.
One of the largest Dota 2 tournaments, the International, will probably be held in August. The venue and other details are still unknown.
In addition, in 2024, Peru will host three Dota 2 tournaments as part of the ESB League. The prize fund for each event is half a million dollars. The first of them is scheduled for April this year.
