Warlord’s Ruin is one of the new season dungeons in Destiny 2. A group of players need to go and explore the snowy mountains and ruins of a huge snowy castle in the European Dead Zone location. Your task is to find the boss Ahamkara and defeat him.
Basic information About the Dungeon
Given dungeon, like most others, is designed for several players from 1 to 3 and has two difficulty levels: normal and master with various modifiers. The main enemies in this location are representatives of the faction Scorn and Taken. The passage of the dungeon can be divided into 6 stages, 3 stages are battles with bosses and the remaining 3 are solving puzzles and location research.
How to Access Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon
To access the dungeon, you must return to the Tower and find a Vanguard researcher called Ikora Rey. She will give you a special quest that allows you to go to the dungeon in the EDZ on the map.
Dungeon Stages
The First Stage in the Dungeon
In the first stage, you start near the castle. Your task at this stage is to jump over the rocks to get to the ruins, killing all enemies that stand in the way. This is an easy stage, but you can be injured by various traps on the walls and ground. Be careful; some chests can also be traps. The chest strap periodically emits a blue glow.
The Second Stage, The First Encounter
When you get into the ruins you will meet the first boss, called Rathil, the First Broken Knight of Fikrul. The boss is invulnerable at the beginning of the battle, and your mission is to remove this invulnerability. For this, you must capture Taken totems which must be turned into Stasis totems. . This must be done very quickly because time is limited by the Imminent Wish timer. The number of captured totems affects the duration of the DPS phase. After the end of the DPS phase, the boss teleports you to the cage and gradually lifts you. Players must destroy 3 Acolyte eyes near each cage to escape. Players repeat the mechanic cycle until Rathil is not defeated.
Third Stage
After defeating the previous boss, you will be teleported to prison, where you must solve the puzzle. There are six dials in the prison puzzle that spin when you shoot them. Each of the dials has three positions depending on the number of hits:
- 1 hit: dials turn in anti-clockwise
- 2 hits: dials do not spin
- 3 hits: dials turn in clockwise
Your goal is to place the required number of spinning dials in different directions. How can players understand how many dials should spin clockwise and anti-clockwise? Skeletons can help with this. There are two skeletons in the prison which have special marks, indicating the number of dials (from 1 to 5). The skeleton’s position relatively to the marks shows you the direction of the disks. After setting up the puzzle, one of the players must shoot the periodically glowing cradle, which will open the cells.
Fourth Stage.The Second Encounter
In the fourth stage, players will have to fight with a second boss called Locus of Wailing Grief. This is a huge possessed ogre that has strong but slow attacks. All mechanics from the last boss are also present here but in a slightly different form. A new mechanic has also been added.
First, you must kill all trash that helps the boss, including Acolyte Eyes. After this, 2 mini-bosses known as Broken Knights will appear in the arena and summon Taken totems, which you must also capture. When totems are captured the weather will become very cold and players will receive a stacked Bite cold debuff. When it stacks 10 times the players will die. To reduce the debuff you must stand near the fire towers that will come in sight on the edges of the map. When the Imminent Wish timer runs out Solar Charges will appear on the arena. Players need to bring Solar Charges to braziers and then they will receive Naeem’s Wish Empowerment buff, which allows them to break through the boss shield. Very important, the buff only works near braziers.
Fifth Stage
At the fifth stage, you will be teleported to a room with chests where one of them has real loot, others are traps. It’s your choice: look for the chest or not. This does not affect on the passage of the dungeon in any way. After exploring the room, you need to go up, where you will find the final boss and end your mini journey.
Stage Six, Final Boss
Hefnd’s vengence, the blighted chimera is the final boss in this dungeon. The battle with the final boss includes all the old mechanics that we learned and adds one new one. The boss has two phases, the first phase takes place on three platforms and the second in an open area.
New mechanic
Hex of Vengeful Corruption is a new mechanic (debuff) that came instead of Bite Cold. A new timer will appear in the lower left edge of the screen, which will count down the seconds to zero. If this happens the player will die. You need to hit an enemy called Corrupted Hex Drinker to get rid of the debuff. If after that he hits you, the debuff will return to you again.
The main strategy in the fight
Begin the fight by destroying the Taken Blights, which will poison the ground, and Acolyte Eyes. Destroying the Acolyte Eyes will summon the Broken Knights, which drop the Taken totems. Stand near the Taken totems until they turn into Stasis totems. When this happens, you’ll receive a 17-second debuff called Hex of Vengeful Corruption. How to reset it is written above.
After neutralizing all totems, the boss’s shield will disappear and a short DPS phase will begin on the first platform, after which he will move to another part of the map and cause damage to the platform with the players. This cycle will last 2 more times on two other platforms.
As soon as the boss’s HP reaches the marked division, he moves himself and the group to a small separate arena. At this point, you just need to deal damage until your HP drops to zero.
When you defeat the final boss of Warlord’s Ruin, you’ll get teleported to the roof where you can collect your loot
An Easy Way to Completing the Dungeon
Completing a dungeon is a rather interesting and dynamic process that allows many players to enjoy the game. It is important to note that dungeons are not the easiest type of activity and many players may have various problems, ranging from an insufficient power level to complete it to the lack of enough time and absence of teamwork with random players. Don’t be upset, because for such cases there are Destiny 2 boosting services. Destiny 2 carry will give you the opportunity to participate in a dungeon with experienced players or put your character into the hands of professionals and they will do everything without you. During this time, you will be able to do more productive things or spend time with your family.
Conclusion
You can notice that all the bosses in Warlord’s Ruin dungeon have the same mechanics with small additions, but this does not mean that the game becomes easier. The most important thing is to understand the basic mechanics of the bosses. All only depends on you and your skills. In any case, you have an alternative option for completing dungeons.
